Welcome to Mill Valley
FIRST Robotics Team 1810,
Shawnee, KS

When Team 1810's robot enters the competition arena, it gets noticed!

Our robot chassis is fabricated completely from PVC. Our drive train is a belt system with pulleys designed and created by our team. This pulley system is available to all FIRST Teams with the proceeds supporting our fundrasing efforts. Our design has won the Xerox Creativity Award for the past 3 years. Our lead mentor, Gary Hannah, won the Woodie Flowers Finalist Award in 2011 at the Greater Kansas City Regional, where our team placed 6th of the 56 teams. Our robot is as unique as our team members. In the past 7 years, over 20 team members have graduated and gone on to study engineering and science curriculums at MIT, Kansas State, University of Kansas, and Missouri S&T. The experience they have gained from robotics and FIRST has prepared them for a promising future.

The Team 1810 Pulley

In the 2010 (Breakaway) pre-season, it was decided that our robot needed a new drive system. A belt drive system was our answer. A pulley was designed and fabricated by the team. This pulley is available on the AndyMark website. The proceeds of this pulley help support our fundrasing efforts.     The 2012 “Rebound Rumble” robotics game is played between two Alliances of three teams each. Each Alliance competes by trying to score as many of the basketballs in the hoops as possible during the two-minute and 15-second match. Balls scored in higher hoops score teams more points. Team Alliances are awarded bonus points if they are balanced on bridges at the end of the match.
